Before I took part in the Expedition through the Arctic, I had lived by a schedule. In the Arctic you lose sense of time. Having 24 hours of sunlight we could start our hiking at what we thought was 3 PM but it was actually 3 AM.
Our entire being was focused on one thing: survival.
That day or night (I can’t say for sure) I was on polar bear watch while the others were sleeping.
I didn’t have to fall asleep so I looked outside for some fresh air and came face to face with a ...

a creature.
It was standing on two legs as it looked like a man but was covered with thick white fur.
I was shocked. I have never believed that a snowman exists. I ran far away.
Fortunately he didn’t notice me. I started watching at him.
He was very stupid angry and also hungry. He reached a hole in the ice and then he disappeared in it.
I didn’t know what to do. I made some steps towards the hole.
And immediately my snowman jumped out of the water with fish in his teeth and only at this moment
I realized that my snowman turned to be a white bear.
Since that time I have understood why people claim that they can see a snowman.
